Facts !

For me it was therapy weekly, revisiting past conversations and disagreements and acknowledging where I could have made a different decision. Also shadow work, the inner child will never grow until they are addressed the right way. Accountability is where it starts, nobody is perfect , but when you fall short it’s time to admit that you made a mistake.

@tonyrojos I definitely agree with that as well !! However if it falls one way it has to fall the other. Especially when our communities deal with mental health, don’t have parents , and role models. We don’t have the tools to make sure they aren’t influenced. So if I know my community is unable to make the best decisions, I’m not gonna feed them options that can be poisonous. I rather provide one option that’s will heal and push our communities.

Freedom of speech exists, but what follows does too. Yes they have pain, but therapy exists. Yes they have pain but books and other outlets exist, supporting their pain in one way that influences others to think like them is not ok, if no growth. Yes you grew up with drugs and violence, that’s the first song, but at what point in the album do you grow from that? And if you never do you should be careful with your message and how much your actions affects the world .

I agree, it’s the same conversation because it’s not change in fact it’s getting worse. I doubt we can make a “Fight The Power” song today accompanied by the movement it had. But we can make a scamming song and stand at the frontlines.

I feel you, I don’t appreciate his position on the pod, however I do appreciate when they joke with him and he gets emotional, but act as if he’s not. When he say “go ahead get your jokes off” he’s hurt

@tonyrojos I’m not missing the point at all. We miss the fact when we are bias and that’s an issue. Hiphop has done damage , how much? That’s for the masses to decide. However let’s not act like just because it’s “Art” it’s ok, especially when it’s influential. We all play a role, because we consume it, parents don’t monitor… Music has a negative impact, but hiphop is ours so we focus on our backyard , not across the street.
