Mini story time: I started listening to this pod as an intern in undergrad. I looked up hip-hop podcast, was not loving the breakfast club, and found I’ll Name This Podcast later.

This weekend is sentimental because now that I am an Architect with my masters I finally bought my first house this weekend and am listening to the pod as I pack.

Growing up we never owned the homes we lived it. Constant moving when the landlords raised the rent, new schools, sharing beds. I finally have a home that’s mine and the JBP will be on the big screen.

When Ish starts on his nonsensical tangents I think of one of Marc’s first episodes when he mentioned that his wife went to the same hs as Ish. They asked him what she thought about that and she said “Why the hell would anyone listen to what Ish has to say” 🤣🤣

@officiallyice has a habit of being intentionally misleading when he's trying too hard to prove a point. Pluto wasn't erased from existence—it was reclassified as a dwarf planet. That means it's no longer counted among the eight major planets, but it still exists as a recognized celestial body in our solar system.

Ice thinking that us no longer considering Pluto a planet is a point against science, is telling. That is the entire point of science. To challenge theories, to create hypotheses and evolve their findings. It is not to say one thing and to die on hills bc you believe you are right, it is based on research. I wish as a people we prioritized it more.

Ish with his ‘Mamdani making landlords be up to code is unfair to landlords’ is ridiculous. If you have turned home ownership into your business you have to be up to code, it’s that simple. If you have a pain in the ass inspector, that is the reality of any business in operation. Passing inspection is the bare minimum. That’s why landlords get a bad rep, trying to cut corners. 🍅 🍅
