I feel less secure to create a room on here for tonight since I haven’t been able to fulfill that call the past two Sundays. If I’m back home by 5p PT today, I’ll create the room 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾🚀💖✨

My bad:
📸 by Ken Washington.

In LA, EVERYBODY is SOMEBODY. You go to his IG, not even 1500 followers. You talk to him and he’s aligned with LA hip hop history ranging from Cube to DJ Pooh to my sis Yo-Yo and summoshyt.

Out of towners that like to talk shyt and look down on “the help” in LA NEVER last. Thank God.

Photographer caught me gettin ready with my Twin Andre Mego to open up for Rapsody at Blue Note LA 💙🎶 this past Friday. Also, the white dude Phil Beaudreau is a MF on everything he touches; he produced Lalah Hathaway’s most recent album MLH talked about this episode 🥰. He’s another of my favorite friends 💖✨

Finished edits instead of heading to the gym....
Only 24hrs in a day...sometimes my priorities compete.
Self-acceptance, to me, has become more about deciding what gets done then being radically OK with what doesn't over trying to push myself to exhaustion and overwhelm then heavily critique myself.
So thankful to have advanced past that version of me. 💝

Soooo…the episode won’t play because….??? 😀🥲

Parks been hella funny on the low lol

Opening this tonight at 7p PT. @blazesandstorm said I could 💁🏽‍♀️

Opening with my boy, Andre Mego, for Rap at Blue Note LA this Friday 🥰💙🎶

Happy GKMC day. 🎉

Absolutely 💯 good feedback about how to get back into a routine after some time off

This week is midterms so it pushes back my schedule for content creation again…I’m working to relax into acceptance of that 🥲

For anyone wondering why we didn’t have our Sunday night fireside chat 😔

Oh noooooow you wanna work, aCommunity… 😒

How do y’all get back into your routines after taking a break?

Askin for a me 🙋🏽‍♀️

This was FN AWESOME too!
They played my mama music and I sang along to her flyy ass vocals. It felt really fun 🤩

Also I wore this and missed the memo that the party was themed in red black and gold 😀🥲

Also, my Trojan Boyz did they B1G won 🏆 last night ✌🏽💛♥️✌🏽

LA JBP Luvs, this happens today.
Luv always to @shy who was the very first Luv to support this event❣️💖🚀🚀🚀✨

Unintentional consequences of a forced social media break:

Noticing how an environment runs without your involvement…and getting to decide if you wanna continue adding value or not.

(Present company excluded: I love this damn app)

Ima be honest, as a woman in the music industry with no kids at 44; I can say this beauty for motherhood trade off has been something I’ve averted THANKFULLY. It’s happened to many artists, family friends who happen to be stars ⭐️ and not just women. Being consumer facing makes you a product on some level; people “buy” with their eyes. Aging is how cosmetic surgeons have become rockstars in recent years. We all GOTTA do it, but none of us knows how it will leave us looking.

One thing I don’t love about the clippers is I’ll get spoilers on YT about the episode before I even get a chance to click on the episode. Kinda ruins some of the mystic for me…

Supported one of my babies last night. Can’t wait for Joe n em to learn of her. Astyn Turr. Remember her name.

Fun fact: Her brother/drummer/producer (far left) was my student ☺️💖✨

And yes that’s Lalah Hathaway and Max from Moonchild in the pic too 🙂‍↕️

Remember, today is a bye week for our Sunday night fireside chats.

It came at the perfect time too; my car was involved in a hit-and-run yesterday, and I just feel sad and exhausted to be honest…

Oh my students gonna be grumpy in class Tuesday 🤦🏽‍♀️

Still luv my boys 💛♥️✌🏽

It still feels surreal to have my pod’s catalog embedded in the aCommunity space. I feel so dang thankful 🥰💖🚀🚀🚀✨

Y’all ready to Keep It A Hunnit 💯 or nah ⁉️🤏🏽👀🫱🏽‍🫲🏾💖🚀🚀🚀✨
